A Romantica® historical erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave
Character Name: Archer Martin Latimer
Character Bio: My name is Archer and I am a businessman, an inventor and an engineer. I have had the usual upbringing and expectations for a man of my station. Unfortunately, when my interest in new technologies as well as business developed, my father and I no longer saw eye to eye. He planned for me to follow in his footsteps, something I could not do. We haven’t spoken in years. I like to be connected to a number of projects at the same time. Knowledge is power. I also assist Scotland Yard with investigations that cross into my areas of interest.
Describe yourself what is your worst and best quality?
My worst quality is my temper and the fact that I am naturally suspicious. I believe in things I can touch and measure and struggle with the more esoteric emotions. On the other hand, I am intensely loyal and will go through hell and back to support and protect someone who holds my heart.
What is the one thing you wish other people knew about you?
That's difficult to answer. I wish Warren and I lived in a world where we could love each other openly and honestly without fear of scandal or a prison sentence, but I fear that kind of acceptance would be impossible to find.
What is your biggest secret something no one knows about?
All my life I have wanted a dog. Especially as a boy I longed for a friend, a companion, but my father didn’t think it was a productive use of my time. And only now, speaking to you, do I realize I’ve allowed my father to control something important to me. I guess I will be checking with the local RSPCA centre.
What are you most afraid of?
Not being good enough for Sarah and Warren.
What do you want more than anything?
How would you describe your sense of fashion?
Classic, elegant and understated. Unlike my lover Warren, I like to keep the risks to the business world and my inventions. Daring colours or fussy cuts are not my cup of tea.
How much of a rebel are you?
I am in a committed relationship with a man at a time when bisexuality is illegal. Do I have to say anything else?
What do you considered to be your greatest achievement?
Overcoming the emotionally stunting beginnings my immediate family left me with and being able to express my feelings with the people who are important to me.
What is your idea of happiness?
My family safe.
What is your current state of mind?
I am on edge. Warren and I are looking for a third and I believe we have found her, but we are asking a lot, especially from an innocent like Sarah. Being in a relationship with the two of us means hiding a huge part of her life. I believe she can do it, but we’ll have to see if she is willing.
What is your most treasured possession?
A charcoal sketch Warren did of me after he told me he loved me.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Ambition and drive. I go after what I want.
What is it that you most dislike?
Which living person do you most despise?
What is your greatest regret?
That it took me so long to realize how much Warren means to me.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
Who is your favorite hero in fiction?
Which living person do you most admire?
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
Warren would say I need to be less suspicious and believe in the good in people.
What is your motto?
Live long and prosper…
Tina Christopher spent her early years flitting across the Channel between Germany and England. After touring the world extensively, she finally laid down roots in Toronto. And while Canada’s winters may be frigid, Tina’s characters are anything but!
Like most writers, Tina often hears voices in her head, but it took the encouragement of an editor friend before she actually put fingers to keyboard.
While those first stories will never see the light of day, she’s subsequently honed her craft and learned to build not just worlds, but entire galaxies. Her first book from Ellora’s Cave features a galaxy filled with Vampires, Humans and angel-like aliens called Naema.
When not imagining far away worlds and scorching hot encounters, Tina can be found on her sofa working through her never-ending TBR pile or venturing into the real world—whether to a nearby café or a passport-required destination. She’s a member of the RWA’s Toronto chapter. Her two degrees in environmental conservation, majoring in large animal studies, come in handy when wrestling with supernatural beasties.
