Anyone around the snug village of Bizi-Herri might pass it by upon first glance. However, this quaint hometown of Olivia and Alazné Zubiondo is far from ordinary, and one day, they find out why first-hand.
When a curse afflicts Alazné, Olivia must find a way to stop it. As she searches for answers, more problems surface and she finds herself uncovering secrets kept hidden away from the world—secrets meant to come out by nature but were concealed by man. Now, Olivia must figure out how to save her sister, her people and the dimensions intertwined with her fate.
“Olivia could hardly contain herself as she peaked around the stony corner and saw an open door. Florescent beams puffed out of it, illuminating the otherwise black hallway with a spectrum of colors. She sped to the room, bathing in the multi-colored lights as she strode through the doorway.
Once inside, she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was a beautiful haven of anyone interested in honing her knowledge and skills in the magical arts: burbling pots and sporadic sparking lights cluttered all four walls of the little room. The scent of brewing cauldrons and extensive rows of the much-handled dying books was more than enough to draw her in. Her fingers curled around the edge of the door. She held her breath and leaned backwards a bit, peering at the hallway in either direction, before making the leap inside.”
Character Name: Olivia Zubiondo
Character Bio: I’m Olivia! I love to read and fight (as long as it’s a no-rules match ;) haha) and I’m happiest when found in a library (well, more like not found whilst I’m in a library). I love learning all that I can, which ends up causing me to learn some things I may have wanted to leave as secrets. They end up being things I need to know, though, so that I can protect my family and my world.
Describe yourself what is your worst and best quality?
I would say that my worst quality is that I’m a little judgmental…I have a hard time putting myself in other people’s shoes sometimes. My best quality would probably be that I’m a risk-taker (which can be both a virtue and a vice).
What is the one thing you wish other people knew about you?
Sometimes I misread people and situations, so I’m sorry if I can come off a bit edgy at times.
What is your biggest secret something no one knows about?
I can’t tell you that…but I can tell you that you can find out within the pages of a book.
What are you most afraid of?
What do you want more than anything?
Safety and love.
What is your relationship status?
A bit complicated…haha.
How would you describe your sense of fashion?
What sense of fashion (haha)?
How much of a rebel are you?
Depends on how you define “rebel.” ;) If you define it as someone who does whatever they want, then I’m your gal! If you describe it as someone who is defiant for the sake of being defiant, that is definitely not me.
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Mastering my Opari (magical skills).
What is your idea of happiness?
A life of family and love (and lots of books).
What is your current state of mind?
Curious and anxious.
What is your most treasured possession?
A book of names.
What is your most marked characteristic?
What is it that you, most dislike?
Which living person do you, most despise?
I’m not quite sure at the moment…
What is your greatest regret?
Pushing my sister to her breaking point.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
Who is your favorite hero in fiction?
Which living person do you most admire?
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My short temper.
What is your motto?
Keep reading until you find something curious, and then reveal its secret.
