When did you first consider yourself a “writer”?
I think it was when I published my first book.
How long did it take to get your first book published?
It took about a year and a half to write, edit and get my first book published.
Do you do another job except for writing and can you tell us more about it?
I’m a full time writer.
What is the name of your latest book, and if you had to summarize it in less than 20 words what would you say?
Binding Ecstasy released May 28, 2015. It’s book six in my Guardians of the Realms series and it features one of my most dominant Guardians and the biggest twist in the story yet. I loved writing it! My heroine’s twin sister was hilarious and kick ass which made it a ton of fun.
Who is your publisher? Or do you self-publish?
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it?
There’s so much involved in self-publishing that it takes me a bit of time to juggle it all in. At the moment I’m on a four month publishing schedule.
What can we expect from you in the future? ie More books of the same genre? Books of a different genre?
I have plans to finish the Guardians of the Realms series at nine or ten books and that’s my priority. There are several other books I’d like to get to when I can. Some spin-offs from my paranormal world, a romantic suspense series and possibly an erotic Sci-Fi series. I have plenty to keep me busy. :)
What genre would you place your books into?
Erotic paranormal romance.
What made you decide to write that genre of book?
It’s what I enjoy reading and I love the creative freedom involved in building a paranormal world.
How long have you been writing?, and who or what inspired you to write?
I began writing seriously around three or four years ago. I come from a big reader family and my aunt used to make up stories for us kids. The adults weren’t allowed to hear her tales of bigfoot or adventures, they were just for us. J Story telling has always been special to me.
Do you choose a title first, or write the book then choose the title?
Usually I write the book and then choose a title. With the latest book my awesome Setta’s Sexies Facebook fan page girls voted ahead of time. Searing Ecstasy releases at the end of September. ;)
How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books?
Names are getting so much harder to pick! LOL In the beginning I agonized over names with meanings that fit the characters or their race. I had a big list of names that eventually dwindled down. Lately, my editor has been doing a lot of that for me.
Are character names and place names decided after their creation? Or do you pick a character/place name and then invent them?
I don’t generally like to go back. Especially with character names. I just can’t do place holder names, it seems too tentative when they need to be real in my head. That doesn’t mean that some haven’t changed early in the first drafts because their personalities needed something different, but I try to have them set ahead.
