Describe yourself what is your worst and best quality?

Xavier: Worst?  Don’t have any - s’all good, yeah?

Alicia - -Rolls her eyes at Xavier- My best? I care too much, worst? I have none -laughs innocently-

Xavier: Alicia’s worst quality is that she never listens -smirks-

Shuggie: Will ye both hush! We aw know that ye share a worst quality - stubbornness! Mah best quality is mah patience, an worst is that ah’m too shy fur mah ain good.

Xavier: -snorts-

Alicia falls off her chair in hysterical laughter.

What is the one thing you wish other people knew about you?

Xavier: People know what they need to know about me.  Anything else is my business.

Alicia: I love to read -sucks on her lolly-

Shuggie: Ah huv the grace o’ a ballerina, ahn the soul of a poet.

Xavier: Seriously Shug? -Glares- ballerina? -Whistles low between his teeth-

What is your biggest secret something no one knows about?

Alicia - -Smirks- Now that would be telling!

Xavier: The point of a secret is that no one knows, yeah?

Shuggie: Ah refuse tae answer oan account that ah might incriminate ma’self!

What are you most afraid of?

Xavier: -arches a brow- Next question.

Shuggie: Ah’m afraid o’ being in the same room as these two!

Alicia - Nothing scares me -grins-

What do you want more than anything?

Alicia - Xavier to get off my front and stop telling me off!

Xavier: It’s ‘off your back’ sweetcheeks - although, being on your front…. -smirks-

Shuggie: Behave the pair o’ ye, gie us a showing up in front of the bonnie lassie! -Smiles apologetically to interviewer-

Xavier: She started it.

Alicia - Always turn it back on me don’t you Commander!?

Xavier: -ignores Alicia and Shuggie, leaning forward to speak to the interviewer- The thing you need to know about sweetcheeks is that she doesn’t know the meaning of the word consequences, yeah?

What is your relationship status?

Alicia ignores Xavier and answers this question: Single and happy!

Xavier: -shifts in his seat, growls- Next question.

Shuggie: Ah, well, ye see – it’s complicated fur meh -avoids eye contact-

How would you describe your sense of fashion?

Xavier: I wear fatigues, combat boots and a muscle vest most days.  Unless I’m naked -smirks-

Shuggie: Ah’ve nae time fur fashion…

Alicia ~ Pink eighteen hole Doc Martens and whatever is in fashion -smirks away to herself-

How much of a rebel are you?

Xavier: How much do you want me to be? -Waggles brows, grinning-

Alicia: -lifts her head and stares at Xavier with Laser beams- Seriously?

Xavier: -shrugs- you’re ‘single and happy’ -throwing Alicia’s words from earlier back at her-

Shuggie: ye see wit ah huv tae contend wi’ here?  Me an the Commander dinnae huv time fur rebelling - we ur too busy.

What do you considered to be your greatest achievement?

Alicia: My existence! And the fact I’ve achieved it all on my own -moves her lolly around in her mouth-

Xavier: Saving the hairy Highlander more times than I can count.

Shuggie: That’d be less than ten, Commander - unless ye wur using yer toes an fingers tae count -laughs-

Xavier: -kicks Shuggie’s chair from under him and laughs when he hits the floor with a thud-

Alicia: Xavier! Will you please be kind to Hugh! -Looks at the interviewer- See! He had no manners whatsoever!

What is your idea of happiness?

Xavier: -sits quietly with his baseball cap low over his eyes, arms bridged over his chest and just stares at Alicia when this question is asked-

Shuggie: A bottle o’ scotch an the footba’ oan the telly!

Alicia -unaware that Xavier is looking at her “Family! I have a little one with my ‘pet cat’

What is your current state of mind?

Xavier: Clear and focussed, yeah.

Shuggie: Bemused!

Alicia:  Land of epicness -scratches behind her cats ears, pawing over him-

What is your most treasured possession?

Alicia: My bracelet, I never take it off

Shuggie: Ah dinnae care fur trinkets, lassie.

Xavier: -runs his hand around his roped neck- My dog tags.

What is your most marked characteristic?

Alicia blurts out: Xavier has neon green eyes!

Shuggie: Mah accent, most likely.  

Xavier: Apart from being handsome?  Probably my scars -smirks at the knowledge that Alicia has noticed my eyes- But sweetcheeks’ most marked characteristic is her pouting lips. -Pauses then looks over at Alicia- She never knows when to close them, yeah? -Laughs-

What is it that you, most dislike?

Alicia: Liars! I detest them more than anything! Lies cause destruction and heartache and not having my Cherry lollies. -Glares at Xavier then throws a lolly at his head-

Shuggie: Ah huv nae time fur any bad breaths that prey on wummin or weans.

Xavier: Fakers and as sweetcheeks says, liars.  

Which living person do you, most despise?

Alicia: My lips are sealed but you’ll soon find out -looks at both Xavier and Shuggie-

Xavier and Shuggie both instinctively lean closer to Alicia, forming a wall of muscle around her.

What is your greatest regret?

Xavier: My greatest regret is not taking out the premium insurance on my Ducati -smirks, glancing over at Alicia-

Shuggie: Nae point in huving regrets at wit ye’ve done.  Ah kin only regret wit ah huvnae done.

Alicia: Not being able to say goodbye to my parents and twin brother -Alicia allows the protection of the two Males.

What is the quality you most like in a man?

Xavier and Shuggie give a quizzical look.

-Alicia bursts out in hysterical laughter seeing the looks on both their faces-Chillax the both you! I think this is for me. Manners are a must -Alicia’s eyes discreetly look over to Xavier-

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

Xavier: Intelligence -nods and shrugs one shoulder- And not being ‘needy’.  I can’t tolerate needy females.

Shuggie: Long legs -grins-

Who is your favorite hero in fiction?

Alicia - Oh Oh I know this one! Hugh taught me it! Spiderbat!

Shuggie and Xavier look at each other and hold back their laughs before Shuggie corrects Alicia- It’s Batman or Spiderman, youngling.

Which living person do you most admire?

Shuggie:  Ah admire The Commander -nods solemnly, voice full of respect-

Xavier: I admire me too -face serious-

Alicia: Frazzle!

Xavier turns to stare at Alicia: You have got to be joking me - Frazzle? -Narrows his eyes- Frazzle… -mutters under his breath-

Alicia: He never talks back to me, has impeccable manners and would never hurt me! -Narrows her eyes back at Xavier-

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Xavier: Give up smoking.  

Shuggie: Nowt ah kin think of…

Alicia: That I done my University courses sooner!

What is your motto?

Shuggie:  Dinnae take life tae seriously - it hus a habit o’ comin back tae bit ye.

Xavier: My motto is ‘I’m too busy for this - go bother someone else, yeah?’ -Grins-  

Alicia: I take what I want, when I want, whatever way I choose too.

Both Scottish Authors are best friends and for years they have been developing these amazing and complex characters. L J Halkett is 35 years of age, Mother, Wife and Housing Officer for Local Government. She is a smart, sassy and superbly imaginative woman who devours books - especially in the paranormal genre! She is the master at multi-tasking and she is always thinking ten steps ahead. With her passion for creativity, she brings to life her imagination with vivid detail. Family is the cornerstone of LJ’s life, and her greatest achievement is her wonderful son.

Left Partially sighted after her Stroke, LJ has to write in what the Authors call ‘Nasa’ font and can only detect the colour red, which can be difficult when reading print on a daily basis - her determination is testament to her personality - as she says.... "Where's there's a will? There's a way!"

RT Lucas is 41 years of age, soon to be Divorced [Hurrah!] and had a very successful career in Recruitment and Business Development until it was cut short through illness. Having worked in the Health Sector, Human Resources and Ministry of Defense, she has a myriad of experiences to draw from - and says that sometimes life can be stranger than Fiction! RT is an avid reader of the paranormal/romance genres but her first love will always be Science Fiction. She says that she has far superior music taste to that of her Best Friend and Co-Author - and uses every available opportunity to tell her so! RT lives alone with her #XavCat who faithfully lies by her computer whenever she wanders into the world of Tainted Blood.
