Katie Parks has been on her own since the age of fifteen. All she’s ever wanted is a place to call her own—a life that is wholly hers that no one can take away. She thought she finally had it, but with the strike of a single match, everything she worked so hard for is reduced to a pile of smoking ash. And she almost is too.

Now she’s being stalked by someone who’s decided it’s her time to die. The only thing standing in the path of her blazing death is sexy firefighter Holt Arkain.

Katie’s body might be safe with Holt… but her heart is another story.

As the danger heats up, sparks fly and the only thing Katie knows for sure is that her whole life is about to go up in flames.

Top Ten

Top ten - Words/Topics in a book that turned me off

Okay so this is a really hard post for me. Because the truth is I think anything can work in a book depending upon the way its written!! I honestly think that and I am willing to give anything a try. SO, I took this question to my Facebook Fans and below are the answers that I got. Do you agree? Disagree? Oh, and there are THREE things I added to the list on my own. (yes, I will note which three are mine so you can laugh at me, ha ha ha)

10. When people turn into rats. (drives me insane!) - This is the one I added. LOL. It’s silly but it’s the truth.

9. My husband doesn’t like the word “aback”. Naturally I try to use it in conversation as much as possible. ha ha ha ha. - I added this one too. LOL!

8. When characters cheat on each other.

7. When the main character has zero common sense.

6. Bad editing / Poor grammar

5. An abusive main character

4. When words or phrases are repeated over and over again.

3. Run- on sentences (I think I may be guilty of this in my books…. yikes!)

2. Books where the author talks down to the reader.

1. When books contain abuse toward animals or when animals are hurt or die. - This is mine as well.
